About Our Company
Carter Estimating Inc. is dedicated to bringing you
the finest estimating services on the planet. Three generations
of the Carter family have been estimating for almost 80 years
and have been providing freelance estimating services since
1965. We've performed estimates ranging in the thousands...to
$150 million dollars including Disney's Epcot Center, in Florida.
We claim to know more than a little about the construction
estimating industry and are eager to help you with your estimating
needs.
History
When you contact Carter Estimating Inc for your estimating
needs you are contacting three generations worth of estimating
techniques that have been honed to a fine art. My grandfather,
Harry A. Carter Sr. started this whole train rolling. He was
performing estimates for people in his spare time when the
idea of freelance estimating was a mystery to most. My father,
Harry G. Carter also performed many thousands of estimates
for some of the largest companies in the world. I'm Harry
A. Carter II and the third in our line of estimators. My father
and grandfather are no longer with us but their memory lives
on through many people as well as in the hearts of some, especially
mine.
Estimating is in our blood and it's truly an
honor to be able to look back at the legacy that we're leaving.
It's also quite satisfying to know that we have and still
are doing our part when it comes to providing accurate and
realistic bids to others who may not have had that option
until they met one or more of the Carters

Yes, The Carter School
Of Estimating started by my dad has been teaching the
fine art of finish trades estimating since 1978. With over
5,700 students having passed through our doors, you're in
good hands.
Future Goals
What does the future hold in terms of estimating and
the Carter family? One thing is for sure and that is, that
as long as there is estimating to be done, Carter Estimating
will be there to do it! We've done manual estimating with
pencil and paper, and carried that over to the computer and
digitizers. Now, we're in the digital age, performing all of our estimates on screen! If a new method of estimating does present itself
to us, we'll be sure to check it out...
